Admittingly I snuck out of early to be present for this historic event. It was a long time coming but there is finally a street named after the gay activist Harvey Milk. Looking at his nephew Stuart Milk was like looking at a very talk Harvey Milk. So appropriate that the street leads right into the LGBT Center on Centre St. Alot of people in the gay community worked very hard to make this happen and I saw it fitting that Nicole (Murray-Ramirez) acknowledged those who live around that intersection formerly known as Blaine St but did not protest or object to the street naming. Although they may not accept gays, they could have objected and fought the street renaming. For that, I personally thank you neighbors in Normal Heights.
